Friday night lights. DJ Sho / Manifest.

Friday night, I stopped by the Family Fair that was set up on Magic Island. I went with Chris to take some pictures. I wanted to be there around 7:00p.m. so I could get some twilight lighting, but uuuuhh, we slack off. We got there around 11:00pm. After the quick photo session, I headed over to Manifest so I could see my friend Mark a.k.a. "D.J. Sho" mash up some music.

I took a few pictures at the fair, but nothing too exciting, just some long exposure stuff.

I originally wanted to get this shot with some dark blue skies, but like I said.. too late. I forgot Magic Island had this many trees (blocking the shots I wanted.) Oh well, I did manage to still get Diamond Head off in the right distance.

So yeah, headed over to Manifest in Chinatown. I got there right when DJ Sho was setting up, so good timing. The crowd was perfect (in my opinion), not too crowded, but enough party people to fill the dance floor.

I met Travis and Ulu there. I love these guys. When they are together they sort of remind me of me and Sam, fun people to be around with.

I saw most of the Jump Offs crew there, they showed up late and drunk, just the way I like it. I was stoked to see Lando in a BxH shirt. I used to have some Bounty Hunter toys.

Otto Cake

Me and Sam stopped by the wonderful cheesecake shop known as OTTO CAKE for a quick yummy bite. We chatted with owner, Otto, for awhile, figured i'd put a quick blog out about his rad shop.

It's located in chinatown, on 1160 Smith St. They have really good cheesecake, obviously, but on this day I also enjoyed myself a sweet pink lemonade cupcake. We're actually thinking about getting Otto Cake to cater Bella's 7th birthday party... yum.

Sometimes Bella says, "take a picture of this dad, and put it on the computer". Okay.

She enjoyed getting her 'nails did' the other night, she was pretty stoked with the results, as any 6 year old girl would when they get pink fingernails.

She also enjoyed moms cold-pack on her face on all night.

Seems like me and Sam have been in front of the camera a lot recently. About a week ago, the wedding photographer I work for, Dave Miyamoto asked if he could take some pictures of me and Sam. Me and Sam don't have that many formal / romantic pictures of us, so we jumped at the opportunity to get some photos done. It was so fun to work with Dave, as it usually is when we shoot weddings together. This time though, I didnt have to take any of the pictures, we just got to hang out and have fun, Dave found the pictures he wanted, and now me and Sam have something for our walls.

Our friend, Charisse Paulino from FaceForwardHawaii, did sam's professional make-up job again. :) We love her.

Sam had some cute little curls going on.. I had my black tie and argyle .

Matt + Noa's Biffday. NextDoor. Blurry pictures.

Remember last friday, when Matt B. and Noa celebrated there birthday at NextDoor in Chinatown?... I don't.

So yeah, Me and Chris butt buddied our friday night together and hung out in chinatown, hey we were on the 'guest list', why not celebrate. I pre-partied by myself (not lame) at Manifest, and stocked my belly up with beer.

When Chris showed up, we headed into NextDoor. By now I realized I was already taking blurry pictures of everything, so at that point I thought it would be a great idea to just continue on taking blurry pictures and erasing anything that was IN focus... seemed like a good idea at the time. Trying to hold a drink in one hand, dancing, put my camera on manual focus, I got lots of blurry pictures to show. Here;

CheenyTown

While me and Chris were outside Manifest, about to head over to NextDoor, we saw a dude get thrown out of Bar35. The guy who got thrown out was bleeding from the hand, soon to follow the guy that got thrown out, was a guy who was bleeding from the ear. Pictured below, you can kinda see the guy's blood dripping onto his neck (talking to the security guard.)

I guess this guy (pictured sitting down) either threw a bottle or glass or something at the other guy. I'm surprised that the guy who got hit in the ear didnt absolutely kill this drunk old guy.

Across the street, Mr. ''Pipe smoking creepy behavior guy'' was peeping in on the scene...

... and Ms. ''I'm gonna show my boobies for crack lady'' walked by my camera.

Cops showed up to arrest the dude who got thrown out..

Ambulance checked out the guys ear (which looked like a mini triangle slice of pizza was cut out of it).. they said he was okay though

okay, so on to NextDoor. Blurry picture time.
