MAUI. recently.

I love Maui. I consider Maui a second home to me, my mom was raised there, I've spent a lot of my childhood there, and it's simply a beautiful island. I don't have the urge to ever live there, but it's one of my favorite places to vacation. I've traveled there more than a few times in the past couple of months, for work, for fun, for our anniversary, and for work again. Here are a few of the pictures i've collected in recent trips.

12th Ave Grill. Eat there, look at the walls.

I had the extreme honor of being asked to show some art in .

12th Ave Grill is a very nice restaurant located on, yes you guessed it, 12th Avenue in Kaimuki. I was asked if I could show some art work for the summer, keeping it colorful and light. I put up a mix of some old film and new digital works, and I think it looks pretty good in there. If you get a chance, please head over there and treat yourself to an absolutely delicious dinner (I recommend the kahuku corn & crab cakes if they are available, the Mac and Cheese, or the Flat Iron Steak.) Thanks :)

Baron + Jana. Wahiawa Botanical Garden of Love.

At least I blogged about this before they celebrated their 1 year anniversary :)

Baron, my good friend and surf buddy got married up at Wahiawa Botanical Gardens a while back. I'm glad he asked me to shoot his wedding, it was simple, intimate, and swell. (get it?.. surf buddy.. swell?.. buggah funny)
