"A Night To Remember" The Manifest Prom. 1 year anniversary / celebration.

Some will say "best night ever"... others will mention "most fun all year"... I heard many people say "Cheeeeeee"... and yes, you're all correct. Thursday, August 26th, was the One Year Anniversary of The Manifest. To celebrate, they had an amazing party, a prom themed fandangled manifestation of party spirits. The place was decorated just like the high school prom you remember, disco ball, streamers, balloons, but now everyone is drinking alcohol (legally). I ran a photobooth for majority of the night, taking prom pictures of everyone. I really wanna thank my friend Marina for letting me borrow her light for the booth.
Guess what?... they even crowned a Prom King and Queen!! Guess what, again?!.... Me and Sam were named Manifest Prom and Queen!! We were extremely honored. It was the best night of the year we've had so far. Before I go into further detail about the rest of the night, let me show some of my favorite Prom Photos from the evening. I ended up taking over 400+ pictures, I even instantly printed out a little less than 100 of the photos for everyone (but then I ran out of paper sorry.) All the Prom photos are on my facebook page, but you can also find most of them on the flickr set I made. You can even download the files from my flickr if you'd like to print out yourself a 4"x6" photo :)

So yeah, I didnt wanna upload all the pictures onto my blog... but here are a few of my favorites from the night...

Besides the photobooth, I was able to turn around every once in a while and look at the rest of you guys out there.
Here's a photo of me and Sam right after we were crowned King & Queen. I've noticed that I crossed my eyes in 90% of the photos I was in that night. I'm so not handsome.

The Analog Sunshine Recorders. Opening reception recap.

I'm late, fortunately i'm not pregnant.

We had the opening reception for our recent exhibit, "The Analog Sunshine Recorders", a few weeks ago at The Manifest. Here's a recap of that fine event.
It took us a few days to get everything up on the wall. What everything is, is over 200+ different photos from 12 different artists. It was a little hard to put everything up on the wall, because some of the stuff is so small, placement was a big consideration. Some of the stuff was so big and heavy, we had to use some heavy duty hardware. In the end we created an almost like wallpaper coverage of the brick wall. A plethora of colors, something to keep the eyes busy and mind entertained, a display for the film lover in everyone.

All of the work is displayed in uniform. All the photographs are mounted onto these beautiful pieces of maple plywood.

The opening reception was on Saturday, August 21st. The people who showed up were awesome. People seemed to dig the display as a whole, and picked out individual favorite photos as well.

"Rufio" was in the house!! (Actor Dante Basco, from the Movie HOOK). I made sure I got a picture with him, I even showed him my last name was "Hook"... showed him my non-crazy drivers license too. He's cool.

The show will be up till the 13th or so, please go check it out. Buy some Drinks from the bar. Get Analog.

Thanks everyone who showed up to the opening, thank you Manifest, and mostly thank you Analog Sunshine Recorders.
