One of my friends is away on the mainland for job training, and he was not home to see the birth of his second child, Stiles. I offered my photo services to get a few photos of his newborn son to him while he was gone. Late September me and Chaz had a fun little session up in the country.  We caught Jocko's head high - over head on the sets, zero people in the water.  2 waves came to us every 5 minutes, it was a real good time.  Kinda windy, but Jocko's is a fun place to practice turns and think about whats for dinner.

One of my favorite north shore spots got an early fall swell and the winds were light, so I hit it with Drew182 and Gino.  The waves were pretty fun, a bit small, but good enough to shred froth, also there was no more than 5 people out at once, so win win.Video

I received an award a while ago, given to me by the Hawaii Chapter of The Society of Professional Journalists.The award was for a photo I took when I was shooting an assignment for Civil Beat. I received the fancy wood plaque for 'Excellence in Journalism'.  That's pretty awesome.FancyI thought the plaque might look good on my entertainment center... but it didn't really fit my original decor....

Months ago Hard Rock Cafe asked me to document the grand opening of their new location in Waikiki. The new location is great, it's got an awesome stage, the food and drinks are still delicious, and they have created the perfect ambiance with great decor. We went on a hike to Manoa Falls last month. We brought Sam's grandma with us, she loves bamboo, so this was a pretty good hike choice. Me, Sam, and Angel stopped by chinatown on first friday last week. It was crazy busy as usual. I wanted to go to Manifest, but it was crowded and the fire marshal's were regulating.
